PROVIDING LATAM’S AUDIENCE WITH RELEVANT POI INFORMATION
Latin America still has a long way to go when it comes to the availability of information about businesses, and the use of other platforms that provide this service is scarce. Tegfy came to us with the idea of creating a product that allows latin users to know the basic information about all sorts of Points of Interests (POIs) such as location, opening hours, type of service and photos.
Discovery and Research
WE STUDIED WHICH KIND OF BUSINESSES THE USER NEEDED
We researched different user stories to make sure that all kinds of people could find information on different businesses (e.g. hardware shop, bakery or gas station). To achieve this, we categorized and classified all kinds of businesses to provide a simple search in the least amount of steps.
Ideate, Prototype and Test
TEGFY IS THOUGHT TO BENEFIT USERS AND BUSINESSES
For businesses, we gave them the possibility of claiming their POI’s profile to update their information.
For users, they can manage their POIs, as well as create events that are taking place in each of them.
Tegfy is a practical, social product designed to make our lives easier, save time and have a smoother agenda every week.
A MINIMALIST AND DIRECT ICONOGRAPHY
A minimalist interface was created to quickly locate users geographically. Iconography was meant to reinforce the categories of businesses to filter the searches and a clear and direct communication was achieved, avoiding friction in the desired POI searches.
INTEGRATIONS IMPROVED THE USER EXPERIENCE
We connected the mobile apps to the backend through which the client uploaded the necessary data to later display to users. With the goal of improving user experience, we integrated social networks to the login and maps for them to be able to add POIs to their wishlists and reach them with ease. In the app, the owners can create POIs that can be later highlighted among others and even access to their statistics, all through in app purchases.
WE WORKED ALONGSIDE THE CLIENT TO DETECT AND CORRECT PROBLEMS
To check each of Tegfy's functions, we registered our city’s local places. Simultaneously, the client added users to the platform so we could test functionalities as augmented reality, featured places or searches.
Once we reached an important user’s database, we were able to detect and correct performance problems, always taking into account the demand that the app could have.
